S h i r o d h a r a

Shirodhara is a unique form of ancient therapy used in Ayurvedic massage. It is the continuous flow of warm oil streaming onto the head and scalp. Shirodhara is one of the great purification and rejuvenation therapies. Also known as third eye drip.

M a r m a

Marmas should be understood as junction or meeting places of the 5 organic principles: ligaments, vessels, muscles, bones and joints, with the four types of vessels being the nerves, lymph, arteries and veins. 
Many of the marmas or pressure points of ayurvedic massage correspond to those used in Western reflexology and Japanese Shiatsu.
As vata increases in our body, we experience degeneration. This rigidity can mean becoming fixed in ideas, emotions or physical movements. This treatment is an experience of dynamic and powerful transformation on one or several levels (mental, physical, spiritual or emotional).

The application of herbalized oil to the nasal passages.
After a head, neck and face massage, steam is applied to the sinus area to “ripen” the site for receiving treatment. Then warm, herbal oil is applied through each nostril while the head is supported in position to absorb the treatment. 
Nasya opens, cleanses, and lubricates the sinus passages, while improving the flow of prana. Nasya relieves imbalances of the head and neck.
